Erlinda T. Rodriguez, CPO (Linda) was elected Vice-Chair of the AOA Paraoptometric Section (PS) during this month’s national AOA meeting held at McCormack Convention Center in Chicago, June 2012.
“I’m deeply honored to have been elected to serve, I’m pleased to be able to contribute to AOA PS vital role in advancing the concerns of Paraoptometrics,” Linda said.
We are confident that Linda is an outstanding addition to the Paraoptometric Sections; she brings a wealth of experience and expertise that contribute greatly to its mission.
The American Optometric Association Paraoptometric Section is the nation’s largest organization serving the needs of optometric assistants and technicians. The purpose of the Paraoptometric Section is to offer continuing education opportunities, service recognition, professional development and promotion, and opportunities for its members to be involved with a national, professional association. The Paraoptometric Section promotes a health-team concept in the delivery of optometric care and enhances the identity of both the optometrist and the paraoptometric. The Paraoptometric Section, together with AOA’s and affiliates work to provide the public with quality vision and eye care.
